With an kick-off online meeting the latest EU-co-funded project started yesterday.
Coordinated by CSIT, the project includes a total of eight partners from all over Europe. The CSIT Members AiCS (Italy), TUL (Finland), UCEC (Spain), KALEV (Estonia) and HLA (Croatia) represent the sector of national grassroots sports organizations. Furthermore, we can count on three technical partners.
The first one is the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI) who is also Partner of CSIT. The vision of the NPO based in Brussels ist to strive for a more innovation-friendly environment to stimulate businesses development in sports. The second technical partner is the belgian EurEthICS ETSIA institute. It is registered at the European Union Office for Intelletcual Property, which provides certifications for educational services. As one of the big player in the European sports business EurEthICS ETSIA is official partner of the European Week Sport – an initiative of the European Commission – as well as of the European Platform for Sport Innovation, House of Sport, participating in the European Sport Forum. Last but not least, the Italian cultural NPO The Carlo Collodi National Foundation (FNCC) completes the group of partners. The organization dedicated itself to promoting a culture of and for children – starting with the literary masterpiece The Adventures of Pinocchio, written by Carlo Collodi. According to FNCC, The book’s artistic and human values have made this work an extraordinarily effective tool for sensitizing children and adults to the most diverse themes.
eYOUAca has the objective of developing an innovative e-learning academy addressed to 75 young people – aged between 18 and 30 years old – through the engagement of a team of young leaders who has been already trained during the first three past small collaborative partnership projects YOUAca, YOUAca 2.0 and YOULead. The curriculum will include various e-training modules and one e-internship with the aim to help young functionairies in European grassroots sport organizations to develop skills in sport management and put their their abilities into practice.
Within the next 2 years all project partners are thrilled to put all their knowledge and efforts to further develop the idea of an Youth Academy for Grassoots Sports. This lighthouse project’s aim is to secure a new generation of grassroots sports functionaries and managers which will help to further develop the Sport for All movement.
