27th Edition of the Special Power League – Rovinj

From April 16 to 18, 2025, the city of Rovinj hosted the 27th edition of the Special Power League (SPL) – an inclusive sports project aimed at children with developmental disabilities. NK Rovinj was the proud host, providing a welcoming atmosphere where participants could showcase their football skills and enjoy meaningful social interaction.

Clubs from Croatia, Germany, Serbia, and Austria took part, including HNK Hajduk Split, HNK Rijeka, NK Istra 1961, NK Slaven Belupo, NK Osijek, NK Sloga Čakovec, TSV 1860 München, KMF Mungosi, ASKO Wolfnitz, and ASCO ATSV Wolfsberg. They were joined by various associations and institutions dedicated to supporting children with disabilities.

In addition to matches, the program featured shared training sessions, evening gatherings, karaoke, and a leaders’ meeting about forming the Croatian national team for players with disabilities and planning their participation in the international tournament in Houston, USA.

We thank all participants, partners, and volunteers – especially the Croatian Football Federation – for their continued support and commitment to creating equal opportunities for all. The Special Power League remains a powerful example of how sport can bring people together and promote inclusion.
