From October 14-16, 2022. In Čakovec, a sports event was held as part of the 16th edition of Special Power League project. The participants of the tournament were participants of the Association “Veliko Srce” from Koprivnica, Association “Pogled” from Nedelišće, Association Sindrom Down 21 Zagreb, Association Sindrom Down 21 Rijeka, Educational center for children with disabilities “Ivan Štark” Osijek, School for education from Pula.
The sports event was hosted by NK Sloga Čakovec in beautiful Čakovec. On the sports field following clubs showed their football skills: GNK Dinamo Zagreb Special Power Team, NK Osijek Special Power Team, NK Istra 1961 Special Power Team, NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica Special Power Team, HNK Rijeka Special Power Team and NK Sloga Čakovec Special Power Team.
In the afternoon the participants had a great time playing football at stadium of NK Sloga Čakovec. The ceremony was enriched by mayor of Čakovec, Ljerka Cividini and Matija Posavec from Međimurje County as well as olympic medalist Filip Ude who presented gifts to all clubs and organizers.
As additional content to the project, on participants visited City Museum Čakovec aquapark where they had a lot of fun.
Finally, for the 1. time in the history of the project, an exibition match between trainers and staff was held as part of the Special Power League project.
The participants had great time playing football and participating in other activities and showed great satisfaction with the event.
